Jennie M. Davies

McDONALD: Jennie M. Davies, age 86 passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Sheppard of the Valley, Niles, Ohio. Jennie was born March 17, 1928 In Girard to parents; Wayne Rauhala and Maltilda Perko. Jennie married Ludwig "Bud" Davies on May 31, 1947 and together they had three wonderful children. Jennie was a homemaker and member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Warren. She loved gardening, embroidery, Bingo, cards and making Finnish Nissua bread. Surviving Jennie are her children; Glenn V. (June) Davies, Mineral Ridge, Wayne D. (Doris) Davies, Champion, Noreen M. (Jesse) Husk, with whom she made her home with for ten years in McDonald, brothers; Robert Perko, Columbus, William Perko, Mineral Ridge, sister; Virginia Perko, McDonald, grandchildren; Glenn "Bip" Davies, Eric Davies, David (Kristin) Davies, Rob (Jen ) Davies, Racheal Solida, Rebecca Shaffer, great grandchildren; Justin, Zoey, Landen, Chase, Cayden, two step grandchildren and six step great grandchildren. Jennie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister; Shirley Kohn. Visitation will be held Friday, April 4, 2014 from 5-7pm at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Mineral Ridge Chapel and on Saturday, April 5th from 10-11am. Funeral Service will be held at 11am on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Pineview Cemetery. The family would like to thank all the medical staff who has helped with Jennie's care during her illness.
