Jerry L Vogt

Fowler Jerry L. Vogt, 66, passed away at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren, OH on Friday morning, April 8, 2016. Jerry was born on July 13, 1949 in East Liverpool, OH, a son of the late Joseph L. Vogt Jr. and Geneva (Abbott) McCabe He was a 1967 graduate of Madison High School in Madison, OH. After high school he married his wife Janet Vogt, on May 1, 1970, and started their family together. He found employment at General Motors as a Journeyman Die Maker in Lordstown for 40 years until he retired in 2008. He enjoyed being outdoors, and loved to go fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed racing cars, with both off road racing and road racing. Jerry will be deeply missed by his loving wife of nearly 46 years, Janet Vogt of Fowler; his three children, Jeffery L. (Rebecca) Vogt of Fenton, MI, Jared P. Vogt of Saline, MI, and Aimee J. (Eric) Coles of Vienna, OH; his three grandchildren, Josslyn Coles, Tessa Coles, and Nile Vogt; his sister Karen (Michael) Dillworth of Thompson, OH; and his brothers, Michael (Debbie) Vogt of Windsor, OH, Gorden Vogt of Chardon, OH, and Jay Vogt of Taylor, SC. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial services for Jerry will be held on Saturday April 16, 2016 at 11:0AM at Lane Family Funeral Homes Madasz Chapel located at 6923 Warren-Sharon Road Brookfield, OH 44403. Family will receive relatives and friends from 4-7:00PM at the funeral home on Friday April 15, 2016.
