Jesse William Herriott

Jesse W. Herriott, age 85, of Mecca Twp., Ohio, died Saturday, February 25, 2006, at his residence.
He was born on January 17, 1921 in Roanoke, Va. the son of the late Jesse N. Herriott and Garlos (McIntyre) Herriott.
Mr. Herriott had owned and operated Herriotts Garage in Mecca Twp. for 26 years, retiring in 1992. He was a great gardner and enjoyed bowling, fishing, and working on all types of cars and tractors.
He is survived by his wife Catherine (Smith) Herriott of Mecca Twp., whom he married on August 21, 1944.
Also surviving is a sister, Dollie Steele of South Carolina, a brother, Robert L. Herriott of Fowler, OH. Son In-Law, Tim Austin of Toledo, OH, three grandchildren; Julie (Robert) Hull of Toledo, OH., Scott Austin of Toledo, OH., and Adam (Carrie) Austin of Columbus, OH, and two great grandchildren; Kaylee Hull and Joelle Hull both of Toledo, OH.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sandra Austin and one brother, Samuel Herriott.
Arrangements are being handled by Shafer-Winans Funeral Chapel, 164 North High Street, Cortland, Ohio, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, February 27, 2006 and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday, February 28, 2006 at the Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at Shafer-Winans Funeral Chapel at 1:00 PM Tuesday, February 28, 2006.
Interment will be at Vienna Twp. Cemetery in Vienna, Ohio.
