Joan A Johnston

Joan M. Johnston, 76, of Austintown, passed away at 8:35 a.m. Saturday, April 16, 2011 in Northside Medical Center. Ms. Johnston was born on July 10, 1934 in Youngstown the daughter of the late Samuel and Anastasia (Zablotsky) Fatzick and was a 1952 graduate of Rayen High School. A Homemaker, Ms. Johnston was a volunteer at St. Anne's BINGO and enjoyed bowling. Ms. Johnston was married on April 20, 1954 in Youngstown to Warren C. Johnston Sr. and he preceded her in death on March 16, 1990. Ms. Johnston is survived by three children, Shelley R. (Kenneth) Banfield of Austintown, Lisa L. Johnston of Youngstown and Warren C. "Duke" Johnston Jr. of Austintown; her companion Ronald M. Yarab, Sr.; a brother Sam Fatzick of McMurray, PA; and two grandchildren Ryan and Beau Banfield. Besides her parents and husband, Ms. Johnston was preceded in death by a brother John A. Fatzick and sister Kay Volinsky. According to Ms. Johnston's wishes there will be no calling hours or funeral services and a caring cremation will take place under the direction of the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel.
