Joan L. Moherman

Austintown- Memorial services will be held 2:30 PM Sunday (July 11) at Zion Lutheran Church for Joan L. Moherman age 71 of Austintown, formerly of Howland who died Friday morning in Austinwoods Care Center. Joan was born March 20, 1933 in North Jackson and was the daughter of Fred and Freda (Klingerman) Moherman. She was presently employed by Carpenter’s Health and Welfare in Niles where she was a clerk and had retired a number of years ago from Van Huffell Steel. Joan was a life long resident of the Warren-Howland area and moved to Austintown several years ago to be near her family. She enjoyed traveling in the state of Ohio, especially Amish country and also enjoyed collecting cook books, music boxes and decorative ceramic chickens. She was of the Methodist Faith. She is survived by her Aunt, Donna Moherman of Austintown, two cousins Janet (Moherman) and her husband Richard Kay and their children and grandchildren and a cousin Mary Jane Custin and their children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her two uncles, Jack and Lewis Moherman. The family requests that material contributions be made to Hospice of the Valley.
