Niles- Memorial services will be held 6 PM Tuesday at Open Door Community Church, 525 E. Marshall Rd, McDonald for Joann E. Strong age 70 of 425 Seneca St. who died early Sat. morning at St. Joseph Hospital. Joann was born July 24, 1934 in Corey, Penna. and was the daughter of Ralph and Esther Jane (Dirmeyer) Rice. She was a homemaker. Joann is survived by two sons, Richard L. (Diana Young) Strong of Sandibel Island, Fl., John (Joyce) Strong Jr. of Cortland, two daughters, Thelma (Scott) Sindledecker of Howland, Esther (Michael) Markle of McDonald, a brother Donald Rice of Niles, six grandchildren; Dawn Oliveri, Jeremy Strong, Amanda Mylam, Sheena Markle, Michael Markle, Jr., Matthew Markle and five great grandchildren. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday evening. The family request that no flowers be sent and material contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Youngstown, OH 44512
