Joellen Bletzer, 42 There will be a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Lane Family Funeral Home, 8387 Tod Ave., Boardman Chapel for Joellen Bletzer, 42 of Boardman who passed away December 21nd at her residence. Joellen was born April 12, 1971, a daughter of Gehris E. "Bud" and Barbara Davis Bletzer. She graduated from Boardman High School in 1989 and received her Licenced Practical Nursing degree at Kent State University, Trumbull Campus. Joellen had worked for St. Elizabeth Hospital for 24 years. She had started out in the dietary department in 1989 working in that department for 2-3 years before becoming a ward clerk. She had then worked in the Home Care Division of St. Elizabeth Hospital for 8 years. Joellen was a HCA (Health Care Assistant and Wound Care Certified. She had started working December 1st for UPMC in Cranberry. Joellen was a volunteer for DMAT-OH 6 (Disaster Medical Assistant Team Ohio 6 FEMA) from 2003-2007 and a volunteer in the medical division of Angels for Animals 2004-2007. Joellen is survived by her mother, Barbara Bletzer of Boardman; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends that she loved like brothers and sisters. She was preceded in death by her father Gehris "Bud" and her brother Greg. Friends may call on Saturday from 11:00 12:50 p.m. at the funeral home. Joellen had requested that in lieu of flowers that contributions be made to Akron Children's Hospital (Boardman) 6505 Market Street, Boardman, OH 44512
