John A. Pittman DIAMOND- Private family services will be held on Monday Feb. 10, 2014 at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown, for John A. Pittman, 81, who died early Wed morning at St. Joseph Hosptial. He was born Jan.28, 1933 in Austintown, the son of the late Charles R. and Evelyn (Auld) Pittman. John was a member of, and retired from, Carpenter Local #171, was also a member of The Masonic Charity Lodge #530, The Scottish Rites Valley of Canton 32nd degree, the N.R.A. and Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church of Berlin Center, He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, old cars spending time with his children and grandchildren and loving his wife of 62 years. He leaves behind his wife Marjorie (Geist) Pittman whom he married on Aug. 10, 1951, his three sons John Jr. (Connie) of Newton Falls, James W. (Bonnie) of North Jackson and Jerry T. (Marie) of Berlin Center, seven grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, his two brothers Rollie Pittman of Deerfield and Robert Pittman of Newton Falls as well as his sister Dorothy Fenton of Canfield. He was preceded in death by his son Jeffrey Pittman and two sisters Betty Williams and Evelyn Mountain.
