John Andrew Kirkwood, Sr.

John Andrew Kirkwood, 77 of Warren, Tuesday evening, March 20, 2012, at the Cleveland Clinic. He was born April 11, 1934 in Warren, the son of the late Raymond and Dorothy A. Jackson Kirkwood. John served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from Brainard Strapping on the galavize line, after working for over 35 years. John is survived by his wife, Carol Jean Davis Enderton Kirkwood; two sons, John A. Kirkwood Jr. of Belleview, Fla. and Darrell Kirkwood of Garrettsville; two daughters, Monica Martindale of Texas and Barbara Kreitzer of Belleview, Fla.; his stepchildren, Deborah Channell, Jennifer Enderton, Timothy and Richard Enderton all of Warren; seven grandchildren; three sisters, Daisy Coe, Helma "Peach" Suter and Louise Culver all of Warren and two brothers, Jerry and Larry Kirkwood both of Warren. Four sisters and two brothers have preceded him in death. Per John's wishes there will be no calling hours or services and cremation will be held. Burial will be at Meadowbrook Memorial Park in Champion. Arrangements were handled by Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel in Warren.
