John F. Thellman

John F. Thellman—83 Austintown—Private services were held for John F. Thellman, 83 of Austintown who passed away early Sunday morning in Northside Medical Center. John was born May 8, 1921 in Youngstown the son of Martin and Katherine Thellman. He was the Building Superintendent for the Dollar Savings and Trust Co. until his retirement in 1983. John was also a former member of Youngstown Baptist Church. His wife the former Phyllis Whitten whom he married in 1940 passed away in 1999. He leaves a daughter Nancy Whittenberger of Youngstown, a son John Thellman of Arkansas and seven grandchildren. Besides his wife, John is preceded in death by a son Robert Thellman and a sister Katherine. In lieu of flowers the family request material contributions are made to the Youngstown Rescue Mission in John’s name. Arrangements were by the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel.
