John J. Walsh

Bazetta- John J. Walsh- 84 went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at The Hopice House in Poland. He was born October 31, 1928 in Youngstown. The son of the late Frank and Erma (Krueger) Walsh. He was a 23 year Navy Veteran and was employed at Packard Electric for 19 years. He was a deicated member of the Optimist Club of Bazetta-Cortland, an avid golfer and enjoyed watching the Cleveland Indians and Browns. He also attended Delightful Evangelical Church in Southington. John will be deepley missed by his wife Sheila Walsh, whom he married on September 24, 1976. He is survived by a son, Jeffery Walsh (Jennifer) of New Hampshire, and a daughter Jill Walsh of Mississippi, and four loving step children, James Taylor (Bonnie)- Lordstown, Tami Hovanic (Gregg)- Champion, Tina Parker (Tracey)- Lordstown, and Charles Taylor Champion, Brother in-law James Raskov (Nancy) and eleven grandchildren. He is preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Kovach, Margret Walsh and Eileen Hochadel and two brothers, Bobby Walsh and Thomas Trahey. A memorial service will be held for family and friends at Delightful Evangelical Church in Southington , on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to The Hospice House at 5908 Sharrot Rd. Youngstown, Ohio 44512.
