John "Jim" J. Rodemoyer, 73, of Hubbard, OH passed away on Friday morning August 15, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospital following a two month illness. He was born at home on July 16, 1941 in Sharon, PA the son of John and Mable Axe Rodemoyer. Jim grew up in Farrell and was a graduate of Sharon High School. Following his graduation he served in the Army Reserves during the Vietnam War. Jim retired from G.A.T.X. in 1984 with twenty-eight years of service as a welder and press operator. Since his retirement he has spent the last thirty years taking care of the many mill workers at the convenient store in Wheatland. He leaves behind his children Jay (Jamie) Rodemoyer of Hubbard, OH, Neal (Ashley) Rodemoyer of Grove City, OH, Chris (Tish) Wensel of Transfer, PA, and Tanya (Mark) Miller of Sandy Lake, PA; grandchildren Bryce, Hannah, Nikki, and one due to be born in January; his sister Joann Rodemoyer; and many nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and by two brothers Jack and Ron Rodemoyer. A private Celebration of Jim's Life will be held on Tuesday. The Madasz Chapel of Lane Family Funeral Homes in Brookfield, OH is handling the arrangements.
