John Kolis—88 Canfield—Services will be 10 AM Monday in Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church for John Kolis, 88 of Canfield who passed away Thursday evening at his home. John was born November 11, 1915 in Rybovuka Ukraine. He was a member of the church and its Men’s group. John worked for U.S. Steel retiring 40 years ago. John had also been a POW during WWII. He leaves his wife the former Helen Hilbon whom he married May 19,1979; three daughters Anna Gayge of Sturgis MI, Nadia Leiter of Struthers, and Jean Prestas Corson of Philadelphia PA, two sons; James Prestas Sr. of Struthers and John Prestas of Canfield, ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Two sisters Sonya and Domka and three brothers Afonus, Constantine and Carl all precede John in death. Family and friends may call from 3 to 6 PM Sunday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the family in John’s name.
