John M. "Buck" Grubb

Mecca John M. "Buck" Grubb passed away Saturday afternoon, November 1, 2014 at his residence in West Mecca after a courageous battle with cancer. John was born on January 27, 1956 in Canton, Ohio, son of Lewis and Janet Grubb. He graduated from Maplewood High School and Arizona Automotive Institute. He was self employed. He was known and loved by many. John will be missed by his parents of West Mecca, his two sons, John (Nicki) and Billie (Katie) both of Phoenix, Arizona; two granddaughters, Ella and Avrie, who called him Grandpa Peanut; one brother, Craig (Carol) Grubb; three sisters, Lindy Pavkovich, Holly Grubb, and Mary Beth (Tom) Wilkinson; a longtime special friend Linda Galbincea; and many special nieces, nephews, and cousins. There will be a memorial celebration on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Lane Family Funeral Homes - Shafer-Winans Chapel in Cortland, OH at 3:00PM, officiated by Rev. Ron Mcllvaine. Family and friends may visit two hours prior to the celebration. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Mecca Fire Department located at 6333 ST. RT. 46. Cortland, Ohio 44410 or the Maplewood High School Athletic Program located at 2414 Greenville Rd., Cortland, OH 44410.
