John Orenchak of Masury, OH died at 10:30 PM Saturday at his residence. He was 77. Mr. Orenchak was born in Brookfield, OH on April 10, 1928, a son of Nickolas and Mary Mackowycz Orenchak. He was a 1948 graduate of Brookfield High School. Mr. Orenchak served in the United States Army during the Korean War. John carried on a long standing family tradition as a self employed carpenter and contractor. He was a charter member and president for one year in the Mercer County Building Assoc. Along with his membership John found enjoyment in Traveling and Golfing, where he won the Yankee Run Championship Golf Tournament. Survivors include: his wife, Rosemary Sheridan Orenchak, whom he married March 6, 1976.; 1 brother Andy (Fern) Orenchak of Masury, OH.; 2 sisters, Mrs. Rudy (Mary) Filipovich and Catherine Orenchak of both of Masury; 1 sister-in-law, Irene Orenchak of Phoenix, AZ; He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: his parents; 2 brothers, Charles and Michael Orenchak; 2 sisters, Ann DeMay and an Infant Sister. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday at the Madasz Funeral Chapel, Brookfield, with Rev. Dan Cesene. Calling hours will be from 4-7 PM Tuesday.
