John R Pilipovich

John Pilipovich, age 70 of Niles, Ohio, died at 9:30 PM, Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. He was born on November 11, 1944, in Masontown, PA, the son of the late Mike and Helen Gewak Pilipovich. John was an honorably discharged US Air Force veteran during the Vietnam War. He worked and retired from Johnson Controls in Youngstown as an architectural engineer. John enjoyed gardening and was a member of the VFW in Celina, Ohio. Survivors include his wife, the former Mitsue Kajita whom he married on June 7, 1976; his daughter, Lisa M Burgess of Niles; two step-children, Chris M. (Scott) Hudson and Barry D. (Robin) Conkey all of Atlanta; his siblings, Michael Pilipovich of Martin, PA, Millie (Stephen) Hoist of Point Marion, PA, and Frank (Susan) Pilipovich of Fayette City, PA. Other than his parents, John was preceded in death by his son, John David Pilipovich; and his brother, George Pilipovich. Memorial services will be held at a later date and all arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Lane Family Funeral Homes-Niles Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the VFW in Celina, Ohio, in John's memory.
