John William Pavlick Sr.

A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday September 16, 2012 at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel for John William Pavlick Sr., 77, of Austintown who passed away Friday September 7, 2012 at his home. John was born February 19, 1935 in Austintown the son of Michael and Anne (Kral) Pavlick. He worked as a millwright for US Steel for 36 years until 1981. John also worked for Republic Steel for 8 years. He served in the National Guard as an active member for 4 years and as a reservist for 4 years. John was of the Catholic faith and was an avid NASCAR fan and also an avid fan of dirt racing. His hobbies included Hunting and fishing. He leaves two children, Catherine (Bruce) Brenner of Youngstown and John W. (Chris) Pavlick Jr. of Austintown, four grandchildren, John Jason Pavlick, Abigail F. Pavlick, Bruce Brenner and Brett Brenner, four great grandchildren, Dezerea and Aleeya Pavlick and Kaylee and Bruce Brenner III, as well as three sisters, Betty Franklin of Youngstown, Elaine Lucasky of North Jackson, and Dorothy Shanon of New York. John also leaves his former wife and friend Charlotte Walter of Sebring, FL. Besides his parents, John was preceded in death by one brother, George Pavlick. Friends may call from 1 to 2 PM Sunday at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel where services will be held at 2 PM
