John And Evelyn Laczko

John J. Laczko passed away on April 5, 2020 and within two months of losing her beloved husband of 56 years, Evelyn Sue Zapko Laczko joined him in heaven on June 13, 2020. A Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 8th at 11:00am, at St. Anne’s Byzantine Ukrainian Catholic Church in Austintown, where both were members.
John was born November 17, 1934 in Clune, Pennsylvania, and was the son of John and Katherine (Stadler) Laczko. Evelyn was born September 25, 1939 in Youngstown, Ohio, and was the daughter of Paul and Sue (Fabry) Zapko. She and John were lifelong area residents until she relocated to North Carolina in May 2020.
Grateful for having shared in John and Evelyn’s lives are their two children; Atty. John P. (Theresa) Laczko of Struthers and Lori Laczko of Durham, NC; their grandchildren Chad, Jared and Chance Laczko; along with their siblings, nieces, nephews, and friends.
John and Evelyn were preceded in death by their parents.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, Ohio 44502.
