Joseph A. Alexi

Joseph �Joe� A. Alexi, 64, of Vienna, passed away at 8:39 AM Wednesday, May 6, 2009 in the Intensive Care Unit at Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital following complications of a stroke. Joe was born in Warren, OH on May 10, 1944, a son of the late John and Dorothy �Elaine� (Brogneaux) Alexi and was a 1964 graduate of Mathews High School. Joe was currently working for Heckett Multiserv as a heavy equipment operator. He was a former member of the Vienna Athletic Club, coached pee-wee and little league baseball and started and coached the St. Vincent DePaul Church Basketball Program for twenty five years. Joe was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. Joe was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Roman Catholic Church in Vienna. Joe is survived by his wife the former Susan A. Harkleroad, whom he married on August 2, 1969; two sons Brian J. (Pam) Alexi of Howland and Kevin M. (fianc�e Stephanie Syme) Alexi at home; a sister Janice Alpha of Monticello, IN and a grandson Brian Joseph Alexi Jr. who will be born on August 9, 2009. Besides his parents, Joe was preceded in death by two brothers John and James Alexi and a sister Joyce Bartholomew. Family will receive friends on Friday, May 8, 2009 (TODAY) from 6 until 8 PM in the Lane Funeral Homes, Madasz Chapel Brookfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30AM Saturday, May 9, 2009 in St. Vincent DePaul Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Frank Zanni, Pastor officiating preceded by closing prayers to be recited at 9AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Pineview Memorial Park, Warren. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Joe�s name to St. Vincent DePaul Roman Catholic Church, 4453 Warren-Sharon Road, Vienna, OH 44473.
