Joseph Edward Costick

Joseph E. Costick Sr., age 74, of Cortland, died Friday, November 7, 2008, at the Hospice House in Poland, OH. He was born on October 19, 1934 in Youngstown, the son of the late John Lawrence Costick and the late Mary Magdalen (Gustas) Costick. Joe was a lifetime area resident, a member of St. Roberts Catholic Church in Cortland and had worked as a Railroad Engineer for CSX for 50 years, retiring in 2003. He is survived by his wife Terry Moore whom he married on March 29, 1999; three sons, Joseph Costick Jr. of Austintown, Curt Costick of Hubbard and Brian Costick of Hubbard, three daughters, Karen Fisher of Poland, Mary Patrick of Boardman and Linda Schall of Hubbard. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren on one great grandchild. Arrangements are being handled by Shafer-Winans Funeral Chapel where the family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 12, 2008. Funeral service will be at the funeral home at 11:00 AM Wednesday. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery in Cortland.
