Joseph Leo Paskey

Joseph Leo Piasczik Paskey, 83, of Canfield Ohio passed away December 25, 2010 surrounded by family friends, Glen and Joni Orr. He was born May 30, 1927 in Kent, OH, the son of Anna and Leo Piasczik. On May 28, 1949, he married Doris (Kucheruk) Paskey at St. John's Greek Orthodox Church, Youngstown, OH. Prior to graduating high school he enlisted with the U.S. Navy serving in the Pacific Theater during World War II. After being honorably discharged, he was employed by U.S. Steel for 33 years. He is survived by his brother, Frank Paskey of Kent, OH; his second son, Mark (Laurie) Paskey of Castle Rock, CO; grandchildren, Justin Paskey, Columbus, OH; Erika Paskey, Castle Rock, CO; and Paula Paskey, Great Britain. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris; his first son, Jeffrey Paskey, and two brothers Edward and Walter. A service will be held 10:30 AM Friday, December 31, 2010 at Lane Funeral Home in Canfield, OH. Family and friends may call from 10 AM until the time of services Friday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, OH.
