Canfield- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am Wednesday at St. Michaels Church for Joseph Glista of Canfield who died Saturday evening at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Mr. Glista was born September 28, 1925 in Red Stone Pa. the son of Joseph and Mary (Toczek) Glista. Joseph was employed as an enameler for the Eljer Company in Salem for 32 years retiring in 1977, he also enjoyed farming all his life. He was a member of the church Slovak Club in Salem, Krakusky Club of Youngstown and a WWII Army veteran. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Genevieve (Lyda) Glista whom he married August 5, 1950, eight children Lenora Glista, Leonard Glista, Ronald Glista, Martin Glista, Rosemarie Kochert, Joseph Glista, Patricia Flick and Chester Glista all of Canfield. He is also survived by sisters Nellie Martinovich of Berlin Center, Helen Faciano of Sun City AZ., brother Edward Glista of Salem 23 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Joseph was preceded in death by brothers Andrew, John, Walter. A sister Agnes Barney and granddaughter Angela Kochert.
