Joseph Vincent Sadeckas, 90 of Warren, died Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at Lakewood Senior Health Center in Lakewood. He was born December 12, 1923 in Cleveland the son of the late Peter and Ann Markolanis Sadeckas. Joseph served in the Navy in the Pacific Theatre with the Philippine liberation forces during World War II. He retired from H.K. Porter-Peerless Electric where he worked for many years as a chief engineer and designer. Joseph was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church in Warren. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and stamp and coin collecting. His wife, Frances Christine Warner Sadeckas, whom he married August 21, 1948, preceded him in death August 24, 1983. One brother, Paul Sadeckas also preceded in death. He is survived by three daughters, Joan E. (Steve) Nolting of Beaufort, Missouri, Carol A. (Dennis Saylor) Sadeckas of Blanchard, Idaho and Jean M. Sadeckas of Upper Arlington, Ohio; four sons, Kenneth A. (Jane) Sadeckas of Marietta, Ga., Robert E. (Monice Jungbluth) Sadeckas of Lakewood, James W. Sadeckas of Cleveland and Donald M. (April) Sadeckas of Syracuse, NY; seven grandchildren, Keana Graves and Gary, Donald, Jennifer, Abbey, Jessica and Kayla Sadeckas; six great grandchildren; one sister, Rita Johnson of Bay City, Mich. and one brother, Edward Sadeckas of Joelton, Tenn. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 14, 2014, at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel in Warren. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Blessed Sacrament Church in Warren with Rev. Thomas McCarthy celebrating the Mass. Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta Township, where military honors will be accorded. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 525 N.
