Joseph W. Mortimer

There will be Services at 12 p.m. Thursday at the Lane Family Funeral Homes-Canfield Chapel for Joseph W. Mortimer, 67, who passed away Sunday morning at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Boardman. Joe was born June 9, 1952 in Franklin, Pennsylvania, a son of Mort M. and Grace (Sutherland) Mortimer. Joe was an Ironworker for 40 years. He worked through Iron workers Local No. 207 and last worked at Warren Steel, retiring in 2017. Joe was a 1970 graduate of Staunton Military Academy in Virginia. Joe and his wife enjoyed spending the winter at their home in South Carolina and traveling across the country and vacationing in their motor home. He also enjoyed NASCAR races. Joe is survived by his mother Grace Mortimer of Franklin, PA; his wife, the former Tina M. Berardi, whom he married September 1, 1995; his sons, James Duley of Georgetown, SC, Giovanni Duley and Jerry Duley, both of Canfield and his brother, Carl Mortimer of Gibsonia, PA. Joe was preceded in death by his father, Mort. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Thursday, prior to the Service at the funeral home.
