There will be a funeral service 11 AM Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at the Lane Funeral Home Niles Chapel for June E. Williams of Niles, who passed away Saturday evening at Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital. June was born July 25, 1928 in Niles a daughter of the late Elmer and Florence (Stringer) James. After graduating from Niles McKinley High School and Kent State University, she had been a teacher at Fairhaven School for 25 years, retiring in 1983. After retirement she had lived in Vero Beach, FL., for ten years. June was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Niles and Vero Beach, FL. She loved playing cards and the organ. Her husband Leonard C. Williams, whom she married November 21, 1951, passed away November 3, 1991. She is survived by her daughter Lynda D'Allessandro of Niles, her son Jeffrey C. Williams, with whom she made her home, one brother Donald (Mary) James of Bluffton, SC; two granddaughters: Jennifer and Michelle D'Allessandro both of Niles; brother in law and sister in law Thomas and Luella Williams of Niles, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, June is preceded in death by her son in law Andrew D'Allessandro.. Friends may call from 5 PM until 7 Pm Tuesday at the Lane Funeral Home Niles Chapel, 415 Robbins Ave., Niles, OH 44446.
