Kaitlyn Nicole Jones

Kaitlyn Nicole Jones, 18, of Warren, OH, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday afternoon at March 16, 2011 at Akron City Hospital from complications with Diabetes. Kaity was born in Warren, OH on August 2, 1992, a daughter of the Gary E. Jones II and Leah K. (Kerr) McDonald. She was a 2010 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School where she had been a member of the Key Club and active with WSCN school news. Currently Kaity was a freshman at Kent State University where she was pursuing a degree in nursing as well as looking forward to participating in the Destination Kent Program for incoming freshman next fall semester. During her time away from class she enjoyed cooking, dancing, and spending time with her many friends. She will be sadly missed by her father Gary of Austintown, OH, mother Leah and her husband Patrick McDonald of Warren, OH; her sister Madison Jones and brother Nathan Jones both of Warren, OH; grandparents Gary and Bonnie Jones of Niles, OH, Joan Kerr of Vienna, OH, and Gerald and Marcia McDonald of Aiken, SC; great-grandmother Regina Nelson of Sharpsville, PA; uncles Aaron (Teri) Jones, Jake Kerr all of Columbus, OH, Brian (Tammy) Kerr of New Paris, PA, Sean Kerr of Cortland, OH, and Garrett McDonald of Denver, CO; and by her aunts Peggy Hurst of Niles, OH and Aimee Kerr of Cortland, OH. She was preceded in death by her grandfather William Kerr in 2005. Calling hours for friends and family will be held on Sunday evening March 20, 2011 from 4:00-7:00PM at the Madasz Funeral Chapel 6923 Warren-Sharon Road in Brookfield, OH. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00AM at the funeral home.
