Kam Forrest

"Go Buckeyes" Kathleen Ann "KAM" Forrest, 70, died Thursday morning, April 4, 2013, at her home after a long illness. She was born March 1, 1943, in Canfield, a daughter of Dudley and Wilma Lynn McDonald and was a lifelong resident of Canfield. Mrs. Forrest graduated in 1961 from Canfield High School and graduated in 1965 from Miami University in Miami, Ohio. She was president of the Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority at Miami University. She was a music educator for both the Canfield School System and the Youngstown Diocese. She also taught piano lessons, teaching hundreds of students to love the piano for over 50 years. She was a lifelong member of Canfield United Methodist Church. She was also a Girl Scout Leader and served on the board of the Lake to River Girl Scout Council. She was very active in her church and community and was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan. She also looked forward to attending the Canfield Fair every year, only missing a handful of days in her life. She will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, her generosity, her friendship, and her devotion to her family. She leaves behind her husband, Richard Forrest, of Canfield; daughter Suzi and Jason Magill of Minneapolis, Minnesota; daughter Janet and Glenn Cadman of New Middletown; granddaughters Kaitlyn and Chloe Magill of Minneapolis, Minnesota; sister Mada Hodgson Janosik of Canfield; brother Dudley and Debbie McDonald of Richmond, Virginia; and her beloved nieces and great nieces and great nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, Thomas Forrest; and nephew, Rob Hodgson. There are no calling hours. A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 13, 2013, at Canfield United Methodist Church in Canfield, OH.
