Kathie Ann Rowan, 61, passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, Ohio. Kathie was born on October 8, 1952 in Warren, Ohio the daughter of the late, Marilyn Sadler and Kenneth Rowan. She was employed as a team member at General Motors Lordstown Metal Fabricating Plant, retiring on June 5, 2006 after 27.7 years. She was a 1970 graduate of Warren Western Reserve High School, and was active in Y-Teens and Spanish Club. Kathie was a chairperson for her 15th, 20th, 25th, 30th, 35th, 40th and 45th (2015) High School reunions. She was a Chaplain for the Warren area Jaycee in 1975, and held the following positions; Chairperson of Project Facelift, past member of Ohio Governors Sub-Committee for Barrier Tree Architecture, past Secretary of Warren area Jaycee Wives and Health-O-Rama. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and had accepted various callings over the years. She was the Relief Society Secretary, Compassionate Service Leader, Visiting Teaching Coordinator, Primary Teacher for the 4 and 5 year olds; Stake Missionary, Sunday school Teacher for the 16 and 17 year olds, Spiritual Living Teacher, Home and Family Education Teacher. She was also Chairperson of Sisterhood Day 1980 and 1981 and Primary Choirister and Relief Society Choister. In the 1980's she was a member of the Welcome Wagon and a graduate of the Certified Telephone Workers for Contact Trumbull. Kathie is survived by her daughter, Ashley R. (Dustin Dunmire) Rowan; grandchildren, Kaiden and Michael Rowan-Dunmire; brother, Richard (Nancy) Rowan; nephew, Brice (Amanda) Rowan and their children, Elana and Naomi Rowan, and a niece, Lindsey (Todd) Pelligrino with their child, Maxon Pelligrino. She was preceded in death by her parents. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, August 24, 2014 at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts Clark Chapel, 180 Garfield Drive NE, Warren, Ohio, from 5:00 to 7:00PM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 25, 2014 at the funeral home at 10:00AM. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Burial Park.
