Kathleen Ann Cavucci

AUSTINTOWN- Kathleen Ann (Crisafi) Cavucci passed away Monday, September 9, 2013 and is united again in heaven with her beloved son Marcus. Kathleen was born November 2, 1953, in Salem, OH, the daughter of the late Anthony J. Crasafi and Alice (Long) Crisafi. Kathy grew up in Youngstown and graduated from Cardinal Mooney High School in 1971. She attended Youngstown State University where she also served a 30 yr career. She was the executive assistant to the director of janitorial services when she retired in September 2006. She most recently offered childcare for two little boys she adored who affectionately referred to her as "Grandma Kathy." Kathy was a faithful member of St. Patrick's Church and Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church where she served as an Eucharistic Minister and Lector. She had a special devotion to the Blessed Mother. Many knew her artistic abilities as she enjoyed decorating, making crafts and was talented at painting country dcor. Her greatest joy, however, was the love of her family and many friends and her greatest pride her children. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt. She loved having her family close to her for this reason, she and her husband hosted countless family gatherings and parties at their home over the years. She enjoyed all holiday's especially her annual tradition of celebrating St. Patrick's Day with her mother and siblings. Kathy will be sadly missed by her husband Mark P. Cavucci of Austintown, whom she marred April 8, 1978, daughter Kelly Cavucci of Austintown, mother Pauline Crisafi of Austintown, brother Stephen Crisafi of Austintown, sisters Christine (Andrew) Chorba of Canfield, and Virginia (James) Litwin of Canfield, Sisters-In-Law; Roseanne (John) DeBernardo of Poland, Debbie (James) Popoli of Austintown, Delores (Joseph) Kello of Poland and Judith Cavucci of Wexford, PA, many beloved nieces, nephews, Godchildren, and a great niece and nephew. She was preceded in death by her father, Anthony J. Crisafi, brother, Anthony J. Crisafi II, her beloved son, Marcus A. Cavucci and brother-in-law, Joseph Cavucci. The family will receive friends Friday, September 13, from 6-8PM at Lane Family Funeral Home Austintown Chapel, and before the service on Saturday at St. Patrick's Church from 8:45-9:45AM. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10AM on Saturday, September 14th at St. Patrick's Church in Youngstown. Interment at Calvary Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers, food or gifts, the family requests that donations be made to the Marcus Cavucci Memorial Scholarship, 5022 W. Western Reserve Rd., Canfield, OH 44406.
