Kathryn Fisher

Kathryn (Magdych) Fisher, age 89, of Greene Twp., Ohio, died Saturday, December 6, 2008, at her residence. She was born on September 29, 1919 in Youngstown, the daughter of the late John and Mary (Holavetski) Magdych. Mrs. Fisher was a member of the Greene Kingdom Hall and was employed by State of California where she had worked as a secretary for the Dept. of Motor Vehicles for 30 years. Her husband, Edward Fisher whom she married on December 1, 1947, preceded her in death on December 30, 2001. She is survived by two brothers, Donald and Jack Magdych both of Greene and by two sisters, Helen Norton of Washington and Anne Harriman of California. Also surviving is her caregiver and niece with whom she made her home, Michelle Magdych of Greene. Kathryn was preceded in death by two brothers, Peter and Harry Magdych and by two sisters, Rose Knight and Julie Esposito. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Shafer-Winans Funeral Chapel, Cortland. Inurnment will be at the Greenlawn cemetery in Greene Twp.
