Kodi Lee Brenner 20, of Masury, passed away Sunday afternoon August 28, 2011 as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Born on November 14, 1990 in Sharon, PA, Kodi was the second daughter of Randy and Kathie (Nehlen) Brenner. She was a 2009 graduate of Brookfield High School and had attended Marietta College where she had played basketball and studied Petroleum Engineering. She would have been a Junior at Youngstown State University this fall semester and had been spending the summer serving an internship Ohio Department of Transportation road crew. Kodi loved playing sports especially basketball and had played with K & G Softball Team and the Warren Slow Pitch Softball League. She enjoyed running and was excited to be training for the Buhl Day Marathon in which she had come in second place f last year. She leaves behind her parents of Randy and Kathie of Masury; her sister Raquel Sereday and her husband Richard J. of Brookfield; and by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and her numerous friends. Preceding her in death were her grandparents John E. and Jessie M. Brenner and Paul F. "Midnight" and Dorothy Nehlen. Calling Hours will take place on Thursday September 1, 2011 from 4-7:00PM at the Madasz Funeral Chapel in Brookfield, OH. A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Brookfield Township Cemetery.
