Larry J. Amy

Funeral services will be 11 AM Tuesday at Lane Funeral Home Mineral Ridge Chapel for Larry J. Amy who passed away Wednesday evening at his home. Larry was born May 20, 1932 in Andover a son of the late Ruel Jones and Mildred (Chamness) Amy. A veteran of the Korean Conflict, Larry was a bus driver and mechanic for the Niles City Schools. In his spare time, Larry enjoyed wood finishing and animals. He was a member of the DAV. He will be sadly missed by his wife the former Sandra Kay Smith, whom he married March 17, 1992; three daughters: Debra Kay (Larry) Neiman of Fletcher, OK, Donna Lenell (Joseph) Gross of Anchorage, AK, and Diana Lee (John) Whitney of Lawton, OK; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and one great great grandson and his cats Nosy and Cali. Besides his parents, Larry is preceded in death by two brothers: Joseph Edward and James Lee Amy and his step mother Cora Amy. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Animal Welfare League or the American Cancer Society in Larry's name. Friends may call from 1 pm until 3 pm and from 6 pm until 8 pm Monday at the funeral home.
