Laura M. Rimar of 529 Brookfield Avenue, Apt 211, Masury, Ohio, died Tuesday (3-14-2006) at home after an extended illness. She was 69. Mrs. Rimar was born in Mercer, Pennsylvania on June 11, 1936, a daughter of Harold and Mary (White) Baker. She worked 10 years as a Press Operator for Venture Plastics, Newton Falls, Ohio, and she was a member of the Tod Avenue United Methodist Church, Warren, Ohio. In her spare time, Laura enjoyed reading, gardening, bird watching and being outdoors. Survivors include: 4 sons, George Rimar & his wife Christine, Howland, Ohio, James Rimar & his companion Stacy, Toledo, Ohio, John Rimar & his wife Karen, Garfield Heights, Ohio, Donald Rimar & his wife Shelley, Bazetta Twp., Ohio; 3 daughters, Marcia Abbott & her husband Rodger, Cincinnati, Ohio, Brigitte Hummell & her husband Michael, Warren, Ohio, and Dianne Hiers & her husband Wayne, Lenox, Georgia; 2 brothers, Samuel Baker & his wife Diane, Ladies Island, South Carolina, William Baker, Cranberry, Pennsylvania; 2 sisters, Della Baldinelli & her husband John, Sharon, Pennsylvania, Dianne Everett & her husband Bud, Vienna, Ohio; 15 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; and her companion since 1998, “Buddy Yorkshire”. She was preceded in death by her father; her mother, Mary Catchpole; step-father, Fred Catchpole; her brothers, Harold, John & Donald Baker; and her sister, Mary York. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at Madasz Funeral Chapel, Brookfield, with Rev. Jerry Croyts, Pastor of the 1st Baptist Church, Howland. No Calling hours will be scheduled.
