Lauretta Jean Mantz

Lauretta J. Mantz of McDonald, OH, died at 11:10 AM Wednesday at her home. She was 70. Mrs. Mantz was born in McDonald, OH on Jan. 25, 1937, a daughter of Grover Lincoln and Elizabeth Jane Coudriet Grantz. She loved family. Her children, grandchildren, & great grandchildren were the love of her life. She will be sadly missed by each and every one of them. Lauretta was Treasure of the Woman’s Ministry through the church, and also was involved in missionary work through trips and support. She also belonged to McKinley Lanes Bowling League, and the zoning commission for Weathersfield. Her husband, Carl Mantz, whom she married Feb. 4, 1964, died July 16, 1995. Survivors include: 7 children, Mrs. JoRetta and her husband John Creatura of Jacksonville, FL, Mrs. Robin and her husband Patrick Graham of Orange Park, FL, Mark Mantz of Niles, OH, Ms. Sherry Mantz with whom Lauretta made her home, Mrs. LaDonna and her husband Jack Lunn of McDonald, OH, Ms. Renee Mantz of McDonald, OH, and Jeffrey and his wife Kimberly Mantz of McDonald, OH; 2 brothers, James Grantz of Youngstown, OH, and Lee Grantz of Lumberton, TX; 17 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her parents; 2 sisters, Ida Johnson and Elizabeth Morris; 2 brothers, Grover Edward Grantz and Robert Grantz; 3 grandchildren, Tammy Jean and Beckey Jean Creatura, and Jackie Lunn. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday at Summit Assembly of God in McDonald with Rev. Robert J. Ruiz. Calling hours will be from 4-7 PM Sunday at Lane Funeral Home – Mineral Ridge Chapel. Family will also receive friends a half hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. Burial will be in Kerr Cemetery where Tyler Lunn will have closing prayers.
