Lemoyne A. Loomis

LeMoyne A. Loomis, age 91, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 8, 2016 at her residence. Born July 14, 1924 in Glasport, PA., she was the daughter of Clyde and LeMoyne (Meyers) Rankin. LeMoyne was a homemaker and served faithfully as a Pastor's wife for nearly 40 years, where she especially enjoyed working with the children. She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Niles. Survivors include her children: Sharon (William) Ploskodniak, Timothy (Joyce), David (Cathy), Mark (Geri), and John (Carol) Loomis; 21 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Pastor Donald R. Loomis in 2001, who was the pastor of Evansville Baptist Church for 35 years, 3 grandchildren and 3 brothers. Friends will be received at the Lane Funeral Home, Mineral Ridge Chapel, on Wednesday from 6-8PM, and one hour prior to the service which will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Kerr Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions will go towards missions and should be made in care of the family.
