Leah Eileen Wentz

Funeral services will be 1 pm Thursday at the Lane Family Funeral Homes Austintown Chapel for Leah Eileen Wentz who passed away Sunday morning at Meridian Arms Care Center. Leah was born January 27, 1927 in Youngstown a daughter of the late Walter and Helen Thompson. A graduate of East High School, Leah worked in the bakery at Fisher Foods, was a seamstress at Plackie Toys and most recently had worked at Big Lots in Austintown. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church and enjoyed sewing, crafts, camping and traveling. Her husband Donald G. Wentz, whom she married May 6, 1950, passed away August 21, 2004. Leah will be sadly missed by her children: William (Sherry) Wentz of New York, Patricia Seaman of Berlin Center and Cindy (John) Bell of Canfield; a step daughter Donna Poschner of Youngstown; one sister: Janice Lee Naples of Youngstown; seventeen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, Leah is preceded in death by a sister Lois Resek. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in Leah's name. Friends may call from 5 pm until 8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
