A Memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday at the Old North Church in Canfield for Lee J. Stacey of Canfield who passed away suddenly on Sunday. Friends and family are encouraged to come remember and celebrate Lee’s life and vision through a display of her favorite images and a service to include speakers and singers from the Rescue Mission, as well as a memorial meal following the service. Lee was born May 31 1942 in Columbus, the daughter of David G. and Wilma H. (Jooss) Lindsay. She was the owner of Stacey Studio in Canfield in which she started in 1971 photographing many area events and functions. Lee loved her community and was an active part of many local events including the Canfield Fair. She was a member of the Old North Church, the Emmanuel Community Church, the Professional Photographers of America, the Professional Photographers of Ohio, and the International Christian Photographers. Lee was also an active staff member of the Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley. Besides her mother, Lee leaves her husband John whom she married February 25, 1961 and three children: John Stacey Jr, Chris Pruitt, and Karen Slaina all of Canfield and six grandchildren: Jessica, Chelsea, Erin, Grace, Christian, and Jack. She also leaves two sisters: Peg Lindsay of Florida and Helen Kenzig of Cleveland. Lee was preceded in death by her father. Friends and family may call from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley at 962 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Youngstown OH 44510.
