Leland G. Blose

Leland Gail Blose, age 80, of Niles passed away on Monday, February 22, 2016 following a declining period of health. Born May 1, 1935 in Parkers Landing, PA., he was the son of Orville L. and Hazel M. (Dustman) Blose. Mr. Blose was a U.S. Army Veteran, a former member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Warren, and was an avid golfer and bowler. He retired from Sprint in 1994 where he worked as an Engineer for 27 years. After retirement, he drove truck for Strimbu as well as for Charles Manufacturing. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Helen Mae (McCoy); children: Mark A. Blose, James E. (Kathy) Blose, Lisa A. (William) Johnson, and step-son Timothy B. (Patricia) Martinson; 4 grandchildren and 4 step-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren; a sister Hazel L. Dudash. He was preceded in death by his brothers: John and Clyde Blose and a grandson Noah Johnson. Friends will be received at the Lane Funeral Home, Mineral Ridge Chapel on Thursday from 5-8PM where services will be held at 10:00AM on Friday, February 26, 2016 with Rev. John Mizgerd. Burial will take place at Kerr Cemetery.
