Leo Ratowski

Austintown- Funeral services will be held at 10 am Thursday at Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Leo Ratowski of Austintown who died Monday morning in Briarfield Manor Nursing Home. Mr. Ratowski was born May 31, 1923 in Farrell PA. the son of Adam and Michaelini Ratowski and was a life long area resident. Leo was a Heavy equipment operator for West Virginia Energy retiring in 1989 after 12 years and also was an Operating Engineer for Local 66, Youngstown. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, ITAM Post 3, VFW Post 1423, Boardman American Legion, Local 66 Retiree Club, Camen Golf League, and the Immaculate Heart of Mary Retiree Club. Leo was also Army veteran of WWII with the 322nd Medical Battalion 97th Infantry Division serving in the European and Pacific Arena. Leo is survived by his wife of 46 years Jane (Calautti) Ratowski whom he married in 1957, daughter Debra Dohar of Canfield, brothers Clarence of Austintown, Joseph of Youngstown. He was preceded in death by sisters; Anna & Irene Ratowski, Wanda Standley, Felicia Sicliano and brothers Adam, Benjamin, Anthony and Edward Ratowski. Friends may call from 5-8 pm Wednesday and 1 hour prior to services Thursday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel
