Leonard A. Mcgarvey

Lake Park, FL. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 AM Friday at St. Dominic Church in Youngstown for Leonard A. McGarvey Jr., 69, of Lake Park Florida, formerly of Youngstown and Canfield, who passed away Friday evening in VA Medical Center, West Palm Beach Florida. Leonard was born May 30, 1946 in Youngstown the son of the late Leonard A. McGarvey Sr. and Bridgett (Bees) McGarvey. He was a graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School class of 1964. After graduation, Leonard served in the US Air Force. He was a catholic by faith and was a former member of St. Dominic Church in Youngstown and St. Michael Church in Canfield before moving to Florida. Leonard was a self employed business owner, who enjoyed the challenges of owning his own business as well as spending time with his family and friends. He leaves seven children; Leonard A. McGarvey III, of West Palm Beach, FL, Patrick McGarvey of Columbus, OH., Colleen McGarvey of St. Petersburg, FL., Daniel McGarvey, Ryan McGarvey and Matthew McGarvey all of Columbus, OH., and Margaret McGarvey of St. Petersburg, FL. Friends may call from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at the Lane Family Funeral Home, Canfield Chapel where closing prayers will be said at 9:15 AM on Friday followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM.
