Leonard E. King age 84 passed away Sunday afternoon at Austinwoods Nursing Home. He was born November 16, 1920 in Indiana, PA a son of the late Rev. William B. and Bessie V. (Smith) King. He was a machine finisher for Gasser Chair Co. for 28 years retiring in 1992. He attended Highway Tabernacle Church in Austintown and was a United States Army Veteran serving in WWII in the European Theater. He is survived by his wife the former Donna M. Stephens whom he married June 13, 1942; two sons Rev. Larry R. (Barbara L.) King of Blanford, IN and Donald W. (Kathy) King of Youngstown; one sister Geraldine McWilliams of Johnstown, PA; and one brother Guy King of Albuquerque, NM; six grandchildren Sharalee, Andrea Joy, Jennifer, Billy, Jeannie, and Heather; and one great grandson Tyler. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers Smith and William King and one sister Joy Means. Friends may call 4-8 PM Wednesday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel where a funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 PM. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in Leonard’s name.
