Leonard J. Chalker

Liberty- Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday at the Lane Funeral Home-Mineral Ridge Chapel for Leonard J. Chalker, age 69 of 615 Underwood who died early Saturday morning in St. Elizabeth Hospital. Leonard was born July 22, 1937 in Girard and was the son of the late Howard and Margaret (Salloy) Chalker. He had been a welder at Commercial Shearing in Youngstown and had served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Leonard is survived by three children, Rodney Chalker of Girard, Terry Maris and Christina Chalker both of Vienna, four brothers, Gilbert of Liberty, Stanley of Campbell, Richard of Mesa, AZ, Ronnie of Howland, two sisters Marjorie Sandora of Liberty and Viola Rajkowski with whom he made his home with in Vienna. Leonard also leaves two grandchildren, Travis and Mackenzie and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Leslie, and two brother-in-laws, Robert Rajkowski and Albert Sandora and a nephew Jeffery Mason. He was dearly loved by everyone that knew him and will be sadly missed by everyone. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 Monday evening. The family request that material contributions be made to Hospice of the Valley.
