Leslie F. Saunders

Services will be held 11 AM Thursday at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel for Leslie Francis Saunders, 55, of Lisbon who passed away suddenly Sunday at Salem Community Hospital in the ER. Les was born July 15, 1954 in Youngtown the son of Francis O. and Edna (Ford) Saunders. He was a graduate of Chaney High School and worked as a Bio-Medical Technician with Catholic Health Initiatives at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. He was a member of the Western Reserve Motorcycle Club and the AMA. Les leaves his wife the former Gale Bowser whom he married November 9, 1985. Les also leaves his mother Edna Saunders-Luther of Youngstown, three nephews; Ted Nosek, Ian Nosek, and Lt. Col. Paul Nosek, as well as seven great nieces and nephews. Besides his father who passed away January 31, 1978, Les is also preceded in death by his step-father Harold S. Luther who passed away September 29, 2001. Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 PM Wednesday and again from 10 to 11 AM Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers material contributions may be made the charity of the donor’s choice in Les’s name.
