Lester Dean Clingerman

LESTER DEAN CLINGERMAN BERLIN CENTER-- Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Canfield Chapel for Lester Dean Clingerman, 85, who died Sunday morning at Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Mr. Clingerman was born May 30, 1928 in Smith Corners, a son of Herbert and Seldia Greir Clingerman. Lester attended Austintown Fitch High School. He was a truck driver for White Cross Discount Drugs for 12 years and had been a farmer for 20 years, retiring in 1990. He also was a school bus driver for the Western Reserve School System. Lester was a member of the Berlin Center United Methodist Church. He had belonged to Berlin/ Ellsworth Ruritan Club. Lester loved to hunt, especially for deer, fox, coyote, and turkey. He leaves his wife of 65 years, the former Margaret K. "Jean" Hennon whom he married June 5, 1948; his children, Donna (Leroy) Spellman of Starks, Louisiana, Nancy Vega of Tucson, Arizona, Leslie (Jeanette) Clingerman of Berlin Center, and Ronald (Peggy) Clingerman of Salem; his brothers, Frank (Shirley) Megown, Melvin (Donna) Megown, and Harry Price; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by an infant son and daughter; his sisters, Viola Watson and Miriam Nations; his brothers, Chester and Leroy Clingerman; and a grandson. Friends may call Wednesday from 6 to 8:00 P.M. and Thursday from 10 to 11:00 A.M. prior to the service.
