Private services were held today for Lester A. Shea, 86 of Warren formerly of Austintown who passed away Sunday in Mentor Ohio. Lester was born January 24, 1921 in Youngstown the son of Herbert and Berneice (Tribley) Shea. He retired in 1978 as a Supervisor with the Transportation Department of Ohio Bell Telephone Company. Lester also retired in 1969 from the Ohio National Guard after 30 years of service. He was an Army veteran serving in WWII and The Korean wars. He was a former member of Austintown Community Church and currently attended the Evergreen Seventh Day Adventist Church in Boardman. He was a member of the Pioneers of America with Ohio Bell. Lester leaves his wife of 64 years, the former Malinda Spencer whom he married March 7, 1942, two daughters; Berneice (David) Kimmel of Austintown and Bonnell (Mike) Miday of Mentor, one son; Terry L. (Vicky) Shea of Zephyrhills, FL, 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren as well as a niece; Ruth Ann Ullom and a nephew; Ken Gustafson. Besides his parents, Lester is preceded in death by two sisters Ruth Ullom and Bonnell Gustafson. There were no calling hours. Arrangements were by the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel.
