Libertina Pandone

Services will be 1:30 PM Wednesday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Libertina Pandone, 100, of Niles who passed away Friday evening in St. Joseph Health Care Center. Libertina was born August 4, 1910 in Lucca Italy the daughter of John and Theresa (Chiffoni) Giovanni and came to this country and the area as a child. She retired in 1971 as a clerk with Murphy's in the Austintown Plaza. Prior to that she was a manager with Adeline's Women's Shop and had also worked for Strouss Department Store Downtown. She was a member of the Liberty Branch of The Church of Jesus Christ. Libertina was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. Her husband Louis Pandone whom she married July 27, 1930 passed away October 31, 2000. Libertina leaves one son Richard A. (Wanda) Pandone of Niles, two sisters; Edith Dietz of New Springfield, and Marian Grate of Boardman, two brothers; Emanuel Giovanni of Youngstown, and August Giovanni of Boardman, as well as four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren. Besides her husband, Libertina is preceded in death by one son; Donald G. Pandone, two sister; Lydia Laverie, and Della Anzevino four brothers; Joseph, Daniel, John and Gabriel, and two great grandchildren. Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 PM Tuesday and again from 12:30 to 1:30 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Liberty Branch of The Church of Jesus Christ building fund in Libertina's name
