Lida E. Carroll

Funeral services will be held 11AM Thursday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Lida E. Carroll, formerly of Austintown, who died early Monday morning at her son's home in Canfield. She was born April 7, 1937 in Bruceton Mills, WVA, a daughter of Hosea and Hazel (Forman) Liston, and she came to this area in 1953. She retired in 1990 after 20 years as a meat wrapper and deli worker for Bindas Sparkle and several other companies. She was of the Protestant faith and was a member of the Simon Road Church of God in Boardman. She married Truman Carroll on March 17, 1988 and he preceded her in death on February 19, 1996. She is survived by two sons; Ronald (Cathy) Hinderliter of Canfield, with whom she made her home, and Randall (Deborah Horvath) Hinderliter of Poland. She also leaves behind five brothers; Ora (Norma) Liston of Mill Run, PA; Errol (Doris) Liston of Bruceton Mills, WVA; Bert (Niaomi) Liston of North Jackson; Edward (Betty) Liston of New Middletown; and Hosea (Patty) Liston of Boardman; one sister; Elsie Everly of Bruceton Mills, WVA; two grandsons; Todd and Ron, Jr., and a brother-in-law, Donald Mickey of Boardman. Besides her husband Lida was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Mary Mickey, and a son Donald Dean Hinderliter who died in 1984. Friends may call from 5-8pm Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Lida's family would like to take this opportunity to thank Dr. Knight and the staff of the Hope Center, the doctors and staff of the Cleveland Clinic, and all of the staff of Northside Hospital 4NW for all of the care and compassion she received. They would also like to say a very special thanks to all of their friends at Southern Care Hospice for all of their kindness and generousity.
