Lila Elaine Peterson

LORSTOWN-Lila E. Peterson, 76, passed away at 12:15PM Friday, April 18, 2008 in St. Joseph Health Center in Warren. Lila was born February 19, 1932 in Warren the daughter of the late Harry and Hazel (Bailey) Montgomery. Lila was a homemaker and a member of Lordstown Lutheran Church where she was the former director of the Junior choir. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Lordstown Fire Department Women's Auxiliary, CCL of Lordstown, and was an avid campaigner for Muscular Dystrophy. Lila is survived by her husband Donald B. Peterson, whom she married September 11, 1954, and together they shared four children Sue (Robert) Minor of Lordstown, Harry (Christine) Peterson of Niles, Cherin (Charles) Phillips of Cape Coral, Fl, and Daniel (Cristen) Peterson of Lordstown; sixteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Besides her parents, Lila was preceded in death by a son Alan Peterson, two grandchildren Stephen Minor and Amber Peterson; and a brother Donald Montgomery. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, April 20, 2008 from 6 until 8 PM in the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel, where a funeral service will be held on Monday at 11AM. Burial will follow in Lordstown Village Cemetery.
