Lilian Eileen Reynolds Williams, 88, of Howland passed away Sunday Jan. 3, 2010 at her residence following a short illness. She was born July 28, 1921 in Raleigh, NC the daughter of Frederic A. and Lilian (Estergren) Reynolds. Eileen was a 1938 graduate of Springdale High School in Springdale, PA and served in the US Marine Corps during WW II attaining the rank of sergeant. She moved to the Warren area in 1961 from New Kensington, PA. She was employed as an accounts payable supervisor for General Electric and LTV in Niles for 28 years retiring in 1977. Eileen was a member of the Second Christian Church of Warren where she served as a deaconess, trustee, and treasurer. More recently she attended the Howland Community Church. Her husband Earl, whom she married July 30, 1977, preceded her in death March 15, 2001 while residing in Lakeland, FL. Since returning to Warren in 2003, she was a resident of Shepherd of the Valley in Howland. In her later years she was a homemaker and very family oriented. She enjoyed her grandchildren, great grandchildren, reading, crossword puzzles and her computer. She is survived by a son Randolph A.(Julia) Harris of Purdon, Texas, step-son Robert E. (Ola) Williams Sr. of Howland, step-daughter Marjorie (Ronald) Yobe of Hubbard, grandson Clinton M. Harris, and step grandchildren Robert E. (Deanna) Williams Jr., Brian K. (Annette) Williams, Ronald J (Shaseen) Yobe, and Brandilyn C. (James) Gough. She also leaves 2 great grandchildren Alexandria Elaine Harris, Ethan Charles Harris, 7 step great grandchildren Brandon Ayres, Robert E. Williams III, Timothy C. Williams, Ryan J. Williams, Selena K. Williams, Chase Schuyler, and Colton Lee Williams, a niece Kimberly (Steve) Eaton of Hillsborough, NC, a nephew Kendall (Barbie) Reynolds working in Lagos, Nigeria, and their children Erin and Philip, and a sister-in-law Nancy Reynolds of Apollo, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Frederic H. Reynolds in 2005 and a grandson Clayton A Harris in 1995. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial service 1:00 PM Friday Jan.8, 2010 at the Howland Community Church where friends will be received from 12:00 Noon until service time. Rev Dr. Brian Byrne will officiate. Interment will be in Crown Hill Burial Park. The family suggests material contributions be made to Celtic Healthcare Hospice 3530 Belmont Ave. Suite 7 Youngstown, OH 44505 or Howland Community Church 198 Niles Cortland Rd. SE Warren, OH 44484. Roberts-Clark Chapel was entrusted with the arrangements.
