Lillian Kathryn (Jacobs) Zimmerman Fetchko, 90, of Howland Twp., died Saturday evening, January 24, 2009 at her home. Lillian was born October 19, 1918 in Warren the daughter of George Jacobs and Flora (Haring) Jacobs. She was a 1936 graduate of Harding High School and retired from Revco in 1991 after more than 20 years with the company. A long time member of St. Marks Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lillian taught Sunday school and vacation bible school. More recently she was well known to many area churches. Her first husband, Norman Zimmerman whom she married in 1940 preceded her in death in 1941. She was also preceded in death by a grandson Patrick. She is survived by her daughter Kathleen (Bob) Zimmerman Latimer of Ravenna, her son David (Karen) Fetchko of Howland Twp., and two grandchildren Bob Latimer and Amy Fetchko. Lillian was extremely proud of her Syrian heritage and loved to talk about her flights with Ernie Hall and trying some of the first pizza sold in this area. Lillian was an excellent baker and prided herself on the cookie ornaments she made each year to decorate Christmas and Easter trees. A long time member of the YWCA, she loved to swim. She enjoyed crafting, crocheting, her dogs and being on the go, always ready for fun. Her biggest passion was the Lord and telling others the Good News. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009 at 12 Noon at the Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel where family and friends will be received for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be held in the Crown Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers material contributions may be made to the St. Marks Evangelical Lutheran Church at 571 Parkman Rd. SW Warren, OH 44485
